BlueWare is a modern program for measuring area and thickness of leather in a continuous through-feed method and is applied in tanneries throughout the world.
The area is determined with a high-resolution camera, which focuses a conveyor belt or the exit of a sammying machine. The thickness is measured with precisely running stainless-steel wheels, which are fastened to a bond bridge above the conveyor belt which usually start operating after the completion of the area measuring.
In addition to its high precision and its ability to register the skin contours exactly, its robustness is among the most striking advantages of this system. The more sensitive components like the camera are located at quite some distance from vibrating machine parts and humidity, which leads to a long life cycle and a high stability of the measuring accuracy.
Apart from the actual measuring, BlueWare also supports the manual and automatic sortation and the marking of the hides by means of the Inkjet technology. |
